French Courses for Adults - Crossing Language Barriers

Notting Hill College and Linguaphone Group have joined up to bring you French Language Courses. Established in 1901, Linguaphone is an award-winning company with a proven reputation for providing high quality foreign language courses in the UK and worldwide.

The French Courses for Adults presented at Notting Hill College School of Languages is a six-level International Programme. The Courses address the core Fremch language skills for French, as well as different sub-skills, such as Vocabulary & Grammar. Lessons include a balance of conversation, listening, pronunciation and grammar to help you survive and communicate in everyday situations in French speaking countries.

With the aid of our Coursebook, the syllabus aims to provide useful, relevant language using up-to-date and interesting materials. Plenty of language production practice is provided to build confidence and develop fluency. A large part of the study material is presented in the form of practical activities and exercises through which you will learn to understand and speak French almost without noticing.

Try our interactive method of teaching based on Linguaphone’s proven methodology – listen, understand and speak - and you too can be learning French in no time.

Methodology

Listen
Listening to native speakers in your new language is the most relaxing and involved way to learn, helping you associate the sounds you hear with the words and sentences you read.
Understand
By listening and reading the language, you begin to discover what each word means. Everyday objects have exciting new names. Gradually words, then phrases, become clear and your reading, writing and speaking of the language will improve.

Speak
Many people find that speaking their new language is the hardest part. But Linguaphone’s method makes sure that you start speaking from the very first lesson with the correct pronunciation.

Courses are available all year round.
